Intro ======== These are the dialogues from Spyro the Dragon, the first game of a line of fantastic games created by Insomniac Games. I wrote this because I was bored and thaught it would be fun to be able to read what the dragons said during the game. But now I will stop the crap and will go on to the Dialogues of Spyro the Dragon. ============================================================================= ============================================================================= 3. Dialogues ============ 3.1 The Dragons --------------- Artisans ======== Artisans Home ------------- NESTOR N: Thank you for releasing me, Spyro. Free 10 dragons in the Artisans world. Then find the balloonist. He'll transport you to the next world. S: What about Gnasty Gnorc? I'm going after him! N: Find dragons first. That's all I can tell you. DELBIN S: Where's Gnasty Gnorc? I'll torch him! D: Keep your horns on, Spyro. You have must to learn first. Do you know what the dragonfly following you is doing? S: Umm... D: His name is Sparx, and he's helping and protecting you. Keep an eye on him, and see what I mean. TOMAS T: Hey, Spyro, press the jump button twice to glide. And, and don't be afraid. S: Afraid? Of what? T: Falling from high mountain peaks, plummeting into prehistoric glaciers... S: Oh. That. ARGUS (without completed level) S: Cool flash, do that again! A: The Artisans boss is through a portal in the dragon's mouth. But you are not yet ready, Spyro. First you must complete one of the other Artisans lands. ARGUS (with completed level) S: Cool flash, do that again! A: The Artisans boss is through the portal behind me. You can challenge him now, if you feel you are ready. Stone Hill ---------- ASTOR A: After you freed all the dragons, pass through this fancy vortex, err, thing-a-mah-jigger. It'll take you back to the Artisans home. First let me tell ya a story. S: N-no thanks, see ya. CARVIN C: Watch the dragonfly, Spyro. His color indicates his power. When he eats butterflies, he stays strong...like me. S: Uh, sure. LINDAR L: When you free a dragon or step on one of their platforms, you're saving your progress. That could be useful if you run into trouble. Not that you ever run into trouble, Spyro. GILDAS G: Spyro, my friend, how about a hint on gliding? S: You bet! G: For the longest glide, press the X-button at the top of a jump. And try pressing the triangle-button to drop down in mid-flight. Dark Hollow ----------- OSWIN O: Psst, Spyro, want to know a secret? Use the triangle-button when you want to zoom in and look around. S: Oh, your secret's safe with me. ALBAN A: Oh, it's you, I wasn't sure if you'd escape those annoying little creatures. Of course they wouldn't bother me, but here's a hint: Metal armor is fireproof, but a charge attack should take care of them. DARIUS D: Big enemies like this Gnorc with the club cannot be charged. But a quick flame...that should defeat them. Town Square ----------- NILS N: Welcome to Town Square, Spyro. Begin exploring by gliding to that area with the bulls. Use the L2 and R2 buttons to get a good look. DEVLIN D: Thanks, Spyro, haha, I had the worst itch on the tip of my wing. Oh, did you know that you get your longest glides by pressing X at the very top of your jump? ALVAR A: Hmph, Spyro, did you see a man dressed in blue running around here? He's a thief and he's stolen the dragon egg! You've got to track him down and...and get that egg. Run, run! *wheeze* I'm getting a little winded. THOR T: Thank you for releasing me. Toasty ------ NEVIN N: Gnasty Gnorc has put one of his most devious henchman in charge of the Artisans world. S: Bring him on! I think I smell a barbecue! N: Be careful, Spyro. This boss has many tricks up his sleeve. Peace Keepers ============= Peace Keepers Home ------------------ TITAN T: Welcome to Peace Keepers, Spyro. Look how our treasure's been turned against us. And stolen! Recover our treasure, Spyro. S: Collect treasure, got it! MAGNUS M: Hi, Spyro. Sparx the dragonfly has been doing a good job protecting you. Make sure to keep him strong by feeding him lots of butterflies. GUNNAR G: Well done, Spyro. Keep up the good work and I know you'll fulfill your destiny. S: Destiny? I just want to kick some-- G: Just toast those enemies and collect the treasure! Cliff Town ---------- HALVOR S: How's a dragon suppose to flame metal armor anyway? H: Remember, Spyro, flame won't harm metal, but charging with your horns; that should do the trick. ENZO S: Hey, what's on the other side of that river? E: Why don't you glide there and find out. MARCO M: You've reached the highest point in Cliff Town. You can go almost to anywhere from here. If I were you, I'd use that whirlwind, there. Dry Canyon ---------- CONAN C: Thank you for releasing me. BORIS B: Dry Canyon rewards good gliders. You are a good glider, eh, Spyro? S: I was... born to glide! B: Hmph. IVOR I: Is that you, Spyro? Are you the young dragon I've been hearing so much about? Ever since you were a wee puff a' smoke, we've known, ehh... S: You've...known? I: Ah, I forget. MAXIMOS M: Incredible glide, Spyro. I thought I'd be stuck in here forever with those ugly vultures standing on my head. Those birds might look tough but they're pretty tasty, flame broiled, with a pinch a' salt... Ice Cavern ---------- ACHER A: Thank you for releasing me. RAGNAR R: You've done well, Spyro. Some dragons thought you weren't ready, but I knew they were wrong. S: I'm ready, all right. ...Ready for what? ANDOR A: Thank you for releasing me. TODOR T: Psst, Spyro, some big Gnorcs up ahead are wearing armor. And in the Ice Cave, armor can make their feet very slippery. ULRIK U: Word of caution, little one. Wait until you grow big, *ahem* like me, before charging those large enemies. Doctor Shemp ------------ TRONDO T: This guy thinks he's so cool. You don't know what it is been like listening to him over and over. But I'll tell ya one thing: He should watch his back. Magic Crafters ============== Magic Crafters Home ------------------- COSMOS C: Welcome to Magic Crafters. I want you to rrrelease the dragons, rrreclaim our treasure, and rrrecover our eggs from those pesky blue thieves. ZANTOR Z: When you see arrows like these, you can charge along with them to create a supercharge. S: Supercharge? Excellent! Z: Go ahead, try it! BOLDAR B: This portal leads to a special place where you can learn to fly. I remember, when I was a young dragon, earning my wings... S: Learn to fly... got it... Alpine Ridge ------------ ZANE Z: Spyro, you're not afraid of those big, noisy, gigantic, awful beasts, are you? S: Of course not! Z: I didn't think so. ELDRID E: Ah, thank you for releasing me. ZANDER Z: Great work, Spyro. If you keep this up, you'll learn all the tricks of the Magic Crafters world. KELVIN K: Remember that those blue thieves haven't stolen eggs only in the Magic Crafters world. S: Don't worry, I'll take care of them. High Caves ---------- CYRUS C: Please do something about these green druids, they insist on moving everything in sight. AJAX S: I hate those bugs. When I grow big, like you, I'll squash 'em all. A: Until then, remember that supercharge makes you invincible. CEDRIC C: Try combining supercharge with jumping and gliding...and really explore the High Caves. Wizard Peak ----------- JARVIS J: Welcome to Wizard Peaks. This is my favorite supercharge spot. Use it to bash those wizards. HEXUS H: Thank you for releasing me. LUCAS L: Listen very carefully, Spyro. There is a secret area in the Artisans Home. It's at the waterfall. Try jumping on the stones there. S: Artisans Home, waterfall. Sounds good. Blowhard -------- ALTAIR A: Thanks for releasing me, Spyro. You have now idea how long I've been trapped in crystal. And, uh, neither do I. ...Who are you again? S: Uhh, I'm outta here. Beast Makers ============ Beast Makers Home ----------------- BRUNO B: Gnasty Gnorc has turned our swamp in an electric junky. And it used to be so beautiful. S: I'm sure it was. CLEETUS C: Spyro, it's great to see you. But I got to go. Terrace Village --------------- CLAUDE C: Watch out, Spyro. The Gnorcs in these parts have discovered the power of electricity. ...And it really stings. CYPRIS C: Good job, Spyro. One day you'll be able to tell all dragons about your amazing adventures. S: Sure, but what I'd really like to do is get out of this swamp. Misty Bog --------- ROSCO R: Be on the lookout for attack frogs, they're cold-blooded killers. S: Attack...frogs? R: And it used to be such a nice swamp. ZEKE Z: Thank you for releasing me. BUBBA B: I tell you what to do with those creatures...smash them, Spyro! Stamp them out and squish them and squash them, hahaha...! S: Hah, hah...how about, charge them and flame them? We are dragons after all. DAMON D: Thanks for releasing me. It seems like I've been trapped in here since I was your age S: Oh no... D: Why, I remember... S: Uh, gotta go! Treetops -------- LYLE L: Greetings, Spyro. For an amazing tour of the Tree Tops, don't just stop at one supercharge. S: Huh...! ISAAK I: Spyro, if you jump at the end of a supercharge, you can really go far. S: I'm aaall over it. JED J: That was quite a ride, Spyro! You've learned a lot since you were a young glider. S: Yeah, well, you could've found an easier spot to get stuck. Metalhead --------- SADIKI S: This big robot is all charged up to meet you. Attacking the power poles should disrupt its power supply. Dream Weavers ============= Dream Weavers Home ------------------ ZIKOMO Z: Hello Spyro, nicely done. S: I'm done once I've toasted that Gnasty Gnorc. MAZI M: The fools you see in this world are invincible, but that does not mean they shouldn't be attacked. S: Sounds all right to me. LATEEF L: Welcome to Dream Weavers, young one. While chasing Gnasty's minions in this world, you must expect the unexpected, and prepare for what is not there. Lofty Castle ------------ MUDADA M: Fairies are always on your side, Spyro. USENI U: Oh, Spyro, thanks. Supercharge will get you to new places here in Lofty Castle, too. See where it takes you. BARUTI B: Thank you for releasing me. Haunted Towers -------------- KOSOKO K: Hey Spyro, all dragons know there's magic in a fairy's kiss. See what it can do to your power of flame. LUTALO S: Hold your horns, here comes Spyro! L: Patience, little one. You'll soon have the opportunity to battle the one who matters most: Gnasty Gnorc. COPANO C: You've become a master of the supercharge, great work. Dark Passage ------------ KASIYA K: The enemies here can often be quite frightening, but you should watch the fools. S: I'd rather flame the fools. K: Now you're thinking. AZIZI A: Thank you for releasing me. BAKARI B: You know, I think you just might be the dragon to defeat Gnasty Gnorc! S: That's me, all right. APARI A: Oh, thanks, Spyro, I'd love to help you catch Gnasty, but I'd really hate being trapped in crystal again. S: Don't worry, the only one who is going to be trapped is him. OBASI O: Thank you for releasing me. Jacques ------- UNICA U: Thank you for releasing me. REVILO S: Any advice before this...battle? R: Advice, hmm. A wise dragon once told me, aim high in life, but watch out for flying boxes. S: Huh...? Gnasty's World ============== Gnorc Gnexus ------------ DELBIN S: Hey...! Didn't I already free you? D: You're in Gnasty's World now, Spyro, and you are the dragon that must defeat him. S: Bring him on! I'm ready! D: Reach the exit in each in of Gnasty's lands. Then you can challenge the Gnorc himself. MAGNUS S: Gnasty's ancient history now. So, what's in there? M: I believe this is Gnasty's treasure room. But the gate will not open until you have found everything in the dragon kingdom. Come back when you have reached 100%. Gnorc Cove ---------- LATEEF L: Keep up the good work, Spyro. I expect Gnasty's really starting to worry about you. S: I'll be shaking in my Gnorc boots if I were him. TOMAS T: Wow, I never thought I'd be rescued, especially by such a little dragon. ...Uh, wh-what I mean is, I always believed in you, Spyro. S: Ya gotta believe! Twilight Harbour ---------------- COSMOS C: Thank you for releasing me. CLEETUS C: Be on the lookout for Gnorc Commandos, Spyro. S: They'd better be on the lookout for me! We now have 12,000 treasure... or, is it 14,000... I: What about this Gnasty Gnorc character? Now, I understand he's found a magic spell to turn gems into warriors for his cause. 2: I'll take that question. Gnasty Gnorc is a simple creature. G: Simple!? 2: He has been contained in a remote world, and is no threat to the dragon kingdom. G: No threat!? 2: Besides, he is ugly. G: Ugly!? That does it! S: Looks like I've got some things to do. Outro (without 100%) ===== S: Sorry I took so long, I kind of forgot about you. I: So...what about Gnasty Gnorc? S: Gnasty Gnorc? He's toast! I: So now is there order again in the dragon kingdom? S: Well, mostly. I still have some treasure to pick up. I: What will you do next? S: I'd say the sky's the limit. Outro (with 100%) ===== I: Spyro the Dragon, you've defeated Gnasty Gnorc, collected the dragon eggs, saved all the dragons, and collected every bit of treasure in the dragon kingdom. How do you feel? S: I feel fired up, Bob. And I'm happy for the dragon world of course. I certainly wouldn't want to stand the rest of my dragon days butting heads with Gnasty Gnorc and his weird minions. I: What's a minion? S: Uh, Never mind. You know what they say: For every good battle, you need a good adversary. And I felt that Gnasty, in spite of his misguided nature, was a worthy opponent. Uggh...uh-oh, here we go again! ============================================================================= ============================================================================= 4.
